Santos Dumont Airport
Situated downtown, this airport handles regional flights, executive jets, and smaller aircraft. It offers excellent taxi and bus services linking it to key areas.

Transportation
- BRT (Bus Rapid Transit): Connects Tom Jobim International Airport to Barra da Tijuca. Tickets can be purchased at stations or through the RioCard MAIS.
- Uber: A convenient and direct option for personalized transportation to Barra da Tijuca (Congress venue).
- Taxi: Yellow taxis operate with meters, while special taxis at airports and malls offer fixed rates per zone, payable at dedicated counters. All taxis are air-conditioned for passenger comfort.

Climate
Rio enjoys a subtropical climate. Summer (December–March) sees temperatures from 25°C (77°F) to 42°C (108°F). Winter (June–August) offers milder weather, around 20°C (68°F) during the day and 16°C (60°F) at night.
