TOSHIO URAOKA
Professor Toshio Uraoka’s primary duties now involve conducting endoscopy examinations and treating patients with early-stage gastrointestinal tumors (mainly endoscopic submucosal dissection and endoscopic mucosal resection), developing new endoscopic techniques and devices as well as teaching residents and physicians with particular emphasis on gastrointestinal endoscopic diagnosis and treatment. His work has received international recognition and he has contributed to the development of various national guidelines. In addition, he has many international and national patents regarding medical devices.
