Título

E-LEARNING IN HEALTHCARE INSTITUTIONS

Introdução

Development depends not only on academic knowledge, but also on the development of knowledge in the corporate environment.
As the volume of information is increasing, updating becomes a major challenge for large companies, no different in the health area. Many health units have thousands of employees on their staff and keeping them up to date can mean the success or decay of the business. Companies need to constantly seek development strategies that allow for this synergy.

Objetivo

Few studies are carried out with the aim of demonstrating how new training techniques and new teaching methodologies can impact the development of a corporation's employees as well as impact the costs related to these developments. Sharma (2011) uses the term “digital opportunities” to refer to the uses of e-learn in universities, understanding that it can be an important training tool and concomitant cost reduction. The objective of this work is to contribute to corporations that need to train their workforce with the greatest efficiency and the lowest possible cost, using tools such as distance education as a basis for training teams.

Método

It was an applied research that aimed to find out if distance training using the e-learning tool can be a solution capable of transmitting the same information as content taught in person. It was a qualitative research with the aim of describing, understanding and applying the knowledge acquired in the existing bibliographic survey, consolidated by data obtained through the application of questionnaires analyzing the absorption of knowledge between traditional classroom and distance classes with e-learning tools.
A descriptive research can be characterized as the main characteristic of identifying, recording and analyzing the main results found in e-learning teaching in a health institution.

Resultado

The list of those approved was higher in the group that took the distance training, through e-learning. One of the theories that can explain this result comes from the study by Arghode et al. (2017), where elements of traditional education were transported and adapted to distance learning, bringing the model to the student's comfort zone, generating interest and motivation.

Conclusão

Companies must invest in the development of their employees.
In this study we observed the cost related to training in several countries.
The use of distance education methodologies promotes easy access to employees since it does not limit the time for conducting the training.
