Dr. Takeuchi graduated Keio University School of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan and became MD in 1992. After the PhD course in Keio University, he had studied molecular oncology at John Wayne Cancer Institute, CA, USA between 2001 and 2004. He became a staff surgeon in Keio University Hospital in 2006, and was promoted to the professor and chairman at Hamamatsu University School of Medicine in 2017. He has been focusing on minimally invasive surgery including robotics and multimodal treatments for upper GI cancer.
