Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of the GI Fellowship and Advanced Fellowship Programs at Mayo Clinic Rochester. He attended medical school at the Universidade Federal de Ciencias Medicas de Porto Alegre, and he completed his IM Residency, GI Fellowship and Transplant Hepatology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic Rochester.  Dr. Simonetto’s research and practice focus on management of alcohol-related liver disease (ALD), vascular liver disorders and complications of portal hypertension
