Dr. Marcelo Vela is Professor of Medicine, Director of Esophageal Disorders, and Program Director for the Esophageal Diseases Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Arizona.  His clinical practice, research interests, and educational activities are focused on benign esophageal disorders.  Dr. Vela is recognized nationally and internationally as an expert in esophageal diseases, with over 100 publications in this area.
