Dr. Moghanaki is a Professor and Chief of Thoracic Oncology at the UCLA Department of Radiation Oncology. He leads 2 national lung cancer projects in the VA that include the phase III randomized VALOR clinical trial and the VA Partnership to Increase Access to Lung Screening (VA-PALS) which has been supporting the implementation of lung cancer screening programs at 18 VA medical centers. Dr. Moghanaki is also the PI of the Greater Los Angeles VA Healthcare System Lung Precision Oncology Program which is part of a $100 million national initiative to increase lung cancer screening and clinical trials for lung cancer across the VA.
