The impact generated by social isolation in hospitalized patients.

Introdução

The Covid-19 pandemic brought with it the context of social isolation, which generates several impacts on the mental health of individuals, especially those who face a process of illness in the hospital environment.

Objetivo

This work aims to investigate the impact generated by social isolation in hospitalized patients.

Método

A narrative literature review associated with an experience report of psychological care performed in a general hospital was carried out.

Resultados

As a result, an increased risk of psychological phenomena such as symptoms of anxiety and depression was observed in hospitalized patients.

Conclusão

The work of professionals from different areas of health research is extremely important to promote and employ practices that assist in mental health care.
