Graduated in Medicine from the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU-1990) and with a specialist title in Neurology from the State University of Campinas. She did 2 postdoctoral studies at UNICAMP, one in degenerative diseases (Huntington's disease-2004) and another in autoimmune diseases (Multiple Sclerosis-2006). Voluntary collaborating researcher at UNICAMP, with current research projects in the area of Neuroimmunology.
